Working in aesthetics is both exciting and challenging. As injectors, we’re constantly developing new techniques, perfecting our craft, and keeping our patients happy. But let’s be realistic—it can feel a bit lonely sometimes, especially as a solo business without the support of a clinic environment. With social media showcasing everyone’s best work, it’s easy to slip into a competitive mindset. But here’s the thing: there’s room for all of us to thrive! That’s why my mantra is: “Colleagues, Not Competition.” We need to be supporting one another, and growing together. After all, isn’t that way more fun? Who enjoys going to aesthetics events alone?!

Throughout my own career in aesthetics, I’ve made great friends and have buddied up with them, to get media of treatments in progress, for their marketing and vice versa.

Instead of seeing others’ posts as competition, drop a compliment or share their work. A little kindness goes a long way.

- **Ask for Help:**

Having a tough day? Reach out to a fellow injector. Chances are, they’ve been there and would love to lend an ear.

- ** Refer:**

Is your patient more suited to a treatment that you don’t offer? Refer them on to a fellow injector. Your patient will respect your honesty and professionalism.
