How does Botox treatment work?

When injected into a muscle, Botulinum Toxin (Botox®) blocks nerve signals to temporarily relax the muscle. Are the injections painful?

Are there any adverse effects?

Paracetamol can be taken for mild pain post procedure if required, avoid any anti-inflammatory medications as these can increase the risk of bruising.
